I asked @setfiresetsail some questions and here are the answers!
1. How long have you been a band and what brought you all together to
form this band?
-Me(Cory) and drummer Daniel have been jamming for years together just messing around really and what ever came out that we liked we kept it and worked with it. Since then we have gone through a few member changes but I would say we actually got serious in November of 2008. When we jammed with our bass player Dakota. It took some work getting him to loosing up but that didn’t take long before we had our first performance in feb. 2009 as a four piece. We soon found our front man Jordan. He was a for sure pick for us. The kid knows how to rock. Since then we have been playing shows and spreading the word. We recentlt had a member change bringing our new guitarist in (nick) he’s already bettered us since he’s been in sfss. So sfss has been a band since feb 2009. And were Together because we love it!
2. If you could change your band name what would it be and did you have
any previous names?
Cory: I honestly never thought about it. I love our name now.
Daniel: what’s in a name?
Dakota: featherhawk
Jordan: Well I was not in the band when yall made the name but I always thought it kinda stuck and fit us well.
Nick:hahahaha. Mabe Johnny-pot-smoker and the smokets.
3. What do you like most about being a band?
Cory: live Shows!
Daniel: writing what we want to
Dakota: the atmosphere of shows
Jordan: I love the people I get to meet and am able to share our music with.
Nick: The sense of knowing that there are 4 other dudes in the world that love doing what I do
4. What is your weakness as a band, something you need to work on?
- I’d say our weakness would have to be our strong point as well, our influences differ
5. What other bands have influenced you thus far as musicians?
Cory: senses fail, taking back Sunday, underoath
Daniel: a7x, atreyu
Dakota: devil wears prada, bless the fall, a day to remember
Jordan: Taking back Sunday, he is legend, lower definition, circa survive
Nick: Backtothrfuture(Johnny b good)
Metallica, sum41, nsync, judas priest, and korn. And ALOT of new age music!
6. What advice would you give someone wanting to break into the music
scene?
Cory: don’t give up! Put on every show as if it were your last!
Daniel: be yourself dont cramp someoe else style
Dakota: be new and inventive
7. If there was one song you could do a cover of what would it be?
Cory: “here I go again” by whitesnake!
Daniel: n/a
Dakota: tik tok by Kesha
Jordan: Jimmy Hendrix - purple haze
8. Seems like everybody wants to cover Lady Gaga, so if you haven’t
covered her what song would you cover and why? If you have which song and
why?
Cory: I do not ever want to do a lady googoo cover
Daniel: who’s lady gaga?
Dakota: I hate lady gag gag
9. What is one of the best parts of what you do and one of the worst
parts?
Cory: I love being in front of a moving crowd! I hate being out of shape and dead before our third song haha
Daniel: play my drums, tuning my drums/moving them
Dakota: playing in front of energetic crowds, being broke!
10. What sites have you found useful in getting yourselves out there
and getting things to your fans? (i.e. MySpace or purevolume)

Daniel: I don’t use social networks

11. What do you think as a band about people stealing music or music
being leaked on the internet?
-Listen to us free or for purchase we will love you anyway!
12. Who are some of your favorite artists and bands right now?
Cory: Broadway, A bullet for pretty boy, Of machines
Daniel: rise againt and bless the fall
Dakota: the devil wears prada. Bless the fall, of machines
13. What one band would you like to tour with the most and why?
Cory: a day to remember because we love the music and the crowds are always sick!
Daniel: lady gaga
Dakota: the devil wears prada
14. Where do you all see yourselves in a few years?
- on the road
15. What can we expect from you this year?
-New jams, new live show and a tour or two!
16. Band/artist who you think deserves more credit or attention?

18. (funny one) What is your best pick up lines?
Cory: “you party? So does my girlfriend!”
